Product details & introduction

The Used JCB 4CX Backhoe Loader is a proven, multi-role machine designed to deliver reliable productivity across earthmoving, loading and utility work. Fitted with a Tier 4 Final–compliant JCB 444 engine and a robust hydraulic system, this model provides balanced digging power, stable lifting capacity and efficient travel speed for mixed-site operations. Its compact transport dimensions and proven components make it a practical choice for rental fleets, contractors and municipalities.

Performance and power

Powered by an 81 kW JCB 444 engine with 516 Nm peak torque, the 4CX offers steady low-end torque that helps maintain digging momentum and reduces cycle times. The loader bucket of 1.2 m³ and backhoe bucket of 0.26 m³ are sized to balance material handling and trenching accuracy. Measured tear-out forces (61.06 kN loader, 53.25 kN backhoe) demonstrate the machine’s capacity to lift compacted material and break stubborn loads without excessive strain on hydraulic components.

Operator comfort and visibility

JCB puts operator ergonomics at the forefront. The 4CX cab layout provides clear sightlines to the loader, backhoe and sides — essential for precision tasks and safe working in congested areas. Controls are arranged for intuitive operation, reducing operator fatigue during long shifts. The cab environment and control placement improve productivity and reduce the likelihood of operator error on site.

Serviceability and maintenance

Used JCB 4CX Backhoe Loader units remain popular because they are straightforward to service. Key maintenance points—filters, fluid checks and grease points—are positioned for quick access, helping shops and field technicians complete routine work with minimal downtime. The machine’s long service life stems from robust component choices and the global availability of JCB parts.

Versatility and attachments

A wide range of attachments is compatible with the 4CX, including different loader buckets, backhoe buckets, hydraulic breakers, augers and quick-hitch options. This adaptability allows a single machine to perform excavation, backfill, material handling, demolition and drilling tasks — reducing fleet size and improving return on investment for owners who require multi-function capability.

Typical applications and target users*

Construction contractors engaged in foundations, utilities and site preparation

• Municipal and utility crews needing reliable machines for streetworks and repairs
• Rental companies seeking flexible units to serve a variety of customers
• Agricultural operations requiring periodic excavation or material handling

Why choose a used JCB 4CX Backhoe Loader

Selecting a used JCB 4CX balances capital expenditure with proven capability. Buyers gain access to a machine with established performance, widely supported parts and service networks, and demonstrated durability in varied conditions. When correctly maintained, the 4CX delivers years of dependable service while offering a lower acquisition cost than new-equipment alternatives.

Logistics, origin and supply
